Chadwyck Gabrielle
AI Researcher & Game Designer
About Me
I am a young (at heart) and ambitious game developer and researcher with over a decade's experience in game development. I respect the quality provided and general byte efficiency achieved by classic titles but am also unafraid to embrace new ideas, making games more interactive, enjoyable, and challenging. My passion for game development is complemented by my work with local language models, where I conduct research on zero-shot and multi-turn models/agents in autonomous and semi-autonomous environments. I thrive on innovation and am committed to pushing the boundaries of what games can be and what neural networks are capable of!
I know a bit of most programming languages, but am most familiar with the C family, often opting for C++ if I need something local and efficient, and C# if its going to be on a server. Python is a little too loose for my liking, and assembly gets too granular. I also enjoy tinkering around with and programming microcontrollers!
Most of my experience and expertise is put to its best use at macro design problems and/or algorithms, opting to solve major bumps preemptively and establishing a good working, deliverables based team pipeline, often involving international members on different sleep schedules.
Please feel free to contact me about consulting on your project or game! My Discord, Email and LinkedIn can be found at the bottom of the page.

Experience
AI Researcher
@ DPS Games
January 2023 - Present | Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada (Hybrid)
Working as an independent AI Researcher, I focus primarily on learning about the emergent capabilities of models that can be hosted on consumer hardware, including Language models, automatic speech recognition and image generation. This includes exploring innovative AI techniques in deployment, training, RAG, and end use cases for neural networks.
eCommerce Advisor (and AI Research)
@ Sask Polytech
November 2022 - May 2023 | Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada (Remote)
Provided SEO analysis and eCommerce development for small and medium-sized businesses in Saskatchewan. This role eventually involved leveraging AI research to optimize online business strategies relating to onboarding using LLM's and early RAG uses and prompt engineering for a company aligned chatbot and advanced FAQ.
Game Director & Project Manager
@ Groupees LLC
July 2014 - November 2016
Led project / team in game development, overseeing general game design, 3D modeling, animating, and level design. I also did some hands on coding, modeling and animating for this project. See Cyber Chicken on Steam.
Lead Game Developer for "Roll With It"
@ DPS Games
January 2010 - January 2012 | Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada (Remote)
Served as the core/lead game designer, focusing on level design, sound design, music, static sprites, and animations for the game "Roll With It." My role involved comprehensive game design and development, ensuring a seamless and engaging player experience. See CBC Interview (Video).
LLM Projects
March 2023 - Present
Developed quick prototype projects to test the early programming and debugging capabilities of GPT-4 and other LLMs, demonstrating my proficiency in cutting-edge AI technologies and their application in game development. "Super Smash" for example, was coded almost solely by early GPT-4 with some guided rubber-ducking and design specifications. https://chad-wyck.itch.io/
